Professor V. Chandrasekhar and Professor R N Mukherjee, Department of Chemistry, have been chosen to receive the Chemical Research Society of India Silver Medal for the year 2011 in recognition of their extensive and outstanding contributions to research in chemistry.

Professor P.K. Bhattacharya, Department of Chemical Engineering, has been selected for the Hiyoshi Think of Ecology Award - 2010 of Hiyoshi Corporation Japan for Outstanding contribution to applied study for Environmental Conservation and Protection.
